An exploration into the composition of intersecting flat planes. Aside is shaped through a deliberately reductive approach that balances function with sculptural presence. Its form draws on a brutalist sensibility in both structure and materiality. Each piece may be used as a stool, side table or to display selected objects. Aside was developed in collaboration with Exhibit A.
Aside is finished in a curated palette of bespoke paint colours developed specifically for this object and should be treated with care. As with all painted finishes, contact with hard or abrasive materials, liquids or heat may affect the surface. Care of the piece is the responsibility of the owner.
Limited Edition is an evolving series of objects by Brogen Averill, existing between design, art, and architecture. Produced in limited numbers, each edition is an interrogation of convention and the nature of perception.
